The seminar “EU-Ukraine Business Partnership” within the framework of the cycle “Clusters Meet Regions” is jointly organized by the European Cluster Cooperation Platform on behalf of the European Commission in partnership with the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency, the Union of Slovak Clusters, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance and the European Enterprise Network.
The seminar will focus on the integration of Ukrainian clusters and companies into EU value chains.
The “Clusters Meet Regions” seminar on EU-Ukraine business partnerships will take place on March 29 and 30, 2023 in Košice, Slovakia.

We need to further strengthen cooperation between cluster organizations and companies in the EU and Ukraine.
In an increasingly competitive geostrategic environment, supply chains within and outside the EU are facing unprecedented pressure and scarcity. Despite Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Ukrainian companies continue to operate.
Slovakia has seen a very dynamic development of the cluster ecosystem in recent years. Since 2017, in just 5 years, the number of clusters created has increased by more than 100%. Currently, there are 35 industrial clusters in Slovakia, one of which has the ESCA gold label, another has the silver label, and several more clusters are striving to achieve this level of certification in the near future. Most Slovak clusters are focused on IT, I4.0 (including automation and robotics), energy and circular economy.
Target group
The event will be attended by over 200 representatives of clusters and companies from the EU and Ukraine, as well as national and regional government authorities and business support organizations from Slovakia and other EU regions, researchers, civil society representatives, financial institutions, business communities and other stakeholders.
