The Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine (APPAU) announces the launch of an ambitious project titled “Internationalization and Cooperation of APPAU Members in the Markets of Poland and the Czech Republic.” This project addresses the current challenges in the industrial sector, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0, focusing on enhancing the export potential of the Ukrainian high-tech sector.
Under this project, 10 association members will receive 10 months of support from the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine (USAID CEP) program to deploy and establish export activities in the markets of Poland and the Czech Republic. The project includes the creation of Polish-Ukrainian and Czech-Ukrainian committees, a series of business missions organized by Polish and Czech partners, market research, and training activities.
Project goals and objectives:
The project’s main goal is to facilitate the systematic development of export opportunities for the members of APPAU through focused collaboration with key support and development structures in the innovative landscapes of Poland and the Czech Republic. The project aims to boost sales, integrate Ukrainian companies into European supply chains, create jobs, and ultimately contribute to the resilience and strength of Ukrainian innovative companies.
Key project tasks:
1. Establishing of two permanent cooperation committees between innovative ecosystems:
a) Poland-Ukraine
b) Czech Republic-Ukraine
2. Conducting in-depth market research in the segment of industrial automation for the markets of Poland and the Czech Republic.
3. Negotiating at least three commercial agreements on target markets, ensuring the export of products or services of alliance participants.
4. Implementation of at least three agreements related to engineering outsourcing or subcontracting.
5. Development of bilateral relations and initiation of joint projects with external partners in recovery projects in Ukraine.
6. Implementation of a series of new business missions in 2024, including the first successful business mission to Poland at the beginning of December. Several similar meetings are already planned for early 2024. A large final event is also scheduled in Ukraine, where the project’s activities in recovery projects are expected to commence in 2024.
The project beneficiaries include companies specializing in industrial design and automation, system integration, industrial software development, additive manufacturing, industrial design, industrial marketing, etc.
