Ukrainian Cluster Alliance is an association of Ukrainian organizations for cluster movement development and economic growth of Ukraine. The war in Ukraine has brought together Ukrainian clusters and SMEs in a unique alliance, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA). The UCA has a focus on industrial and high-tech clusters. Activities at national level cover all main Ukrainian industries and are strongly oriented towards internationalisation. As for beginning of 2023, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance united 50 cluster organisations with more than 2000 enterprises.

Since 2012 the “go-cluster” programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) has been supporting the best-performing German cluster management organizations in their further development in order to strengthen their innovative power and competitiveness. Currently, 81 cluster initiatives are members of the programme. The aim is to increase the excellence of its member cluster management organizations in the interest of cluster stakeholders, especially SMEs.

ZIM is a funding programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action that aims to foster the innovative capacity of SMEs. It launches several thousand new projects every year all around Germany, making it the country’s largest innovation programme for SMEs. ZIM funds innovative companies with business operations in Germany which want to develop new or significantly improve existing products, processes or technical services. The programme is open to all sectors and fields of technology. Funded projects must be highly innovative, market-oriented and entail a substantial technological risk.
